Celebrating our 27th year

For the Summer of 2009, A Taste of China
is very excited to be a sponsor of the most
extraordinary taijiquan event ever to be
held in the U.S., The International Tai Chi
Chuan Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee.
The main sponsor is the International Yang
Family Tai Chi Chuan Association,
celebrating its 10th anniversary. Other
sponsors include the Vanderbilt Center
for Integrative Health, Center for TaijiStudies, Sister Cities of Nashville, Annabelle’s Wish,
and Tai Chi USA.

Casting our entire support to this Symposium,
A Taste of China will not hold a separate
event in the summer months. We hope
everyone who is interested in our programs will attend the Symposium in Nashville. As
Advisor to the International Yang Family
Tai Chi Chuan Association, I have been
involved in the design and planning for
this event, and I know it will be a fabulous
gathering of extraordinary faculty and
participants from everywhere. The
Grandmasters are coming together as
“one family in taijiquan,” and everyone is
invited to come in that same spirit.

You won’t want to miss this unique event.
I hope to see all of you there!

The International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium on Health,
Education and Cultural Exchange

presents
Traditional Tai Chi Chuan
A View Through the Lens of Science

July 5-10, 2009 Vanderbilt University,
Nashville, Tennessee

In July of 2009, the world’s foremost authorities on the five traditional
Chinese Family Schools of Tai Chi Chuan, as well as other top Tai Chi
Chuan practitioners and scholars will come to Vanderbilt University in
Nashville Tennessee for an international level Tai Chi Chuan Symposium.
The theme of this Symposium will focus on bringing together the
wisdom of Chinese culture with the precision of modern science through
evidence-based academic sessions, Master’s workshops and other
special events designed to foster an exchange of knowledge and
cultures.

This Symposium will be the first of its kind in the United States. It
offers an unparalleled opportunity to study with five of China's top
Masters along with well respected scholars carefully selected for their
unique and highly professional level of expertise in the scientific
study and examination of Tai Chi Chuan.

The International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium on Health, Education
